You would think that, living in the glorious wonderland of Southern California, my skin would be permanently bronzed to golden perfection.

False.

I spend about 90% of my daylight hours indoors. Between work, countless meetings, and sometimes sleeping, the most sun I see during the week is that sliver of blinding light cresting the top of the mountains on my morning commute.

Because I don't see much of the sun and have a general fear/abhorrence of tanning beds--

(I would SO be the girl that gets stuck inside and slowly bakes to death.)

Now, fortunately I don't have too much of an issue yet with wrinkles and aged skin. But I'd like to keep it that way as long as possible. I mean, I'm 33 now. Young and healthy, yes, but I'm not getting any younger. Have to start taking care of my skin now before I look like I'm going on 83.

The first thing I noticed about the Sun Sauce Moisturizer was the aroma. It's a little bit different, but pleasant and natural. Not overwhelming or perfume-y, and since I have a bit of an aversion to strong scents, I was happy to discover this.

The moisturizer is thick, which was something else I liked. I absolutely HATE runny lotions because they're messy and don't get the job done. I thought the texture here was ideal. Thick, creamy, not greasy. It took a little bit of effort to distribute the product evenly, but it really does moisturize well. I haven't felt the need to use any additional lotions throughout the day.

(Well, except on my hands, but that's only because I wash them about 15-20 times a day.)

(I know, that's probably a lot for someone who doesn't work around children, old people, animals, or in a hospital...It's just how I am.)

Anyways, as far as the hint of color...well, I haven't seen a big difference yet. I've noticed a tiny bit of color on my pasty legs, but when I tried a before and after photo, you couldn't even see it in the picture.

So, basically, as a moisturizer, I felt this product lived up to its promises and I was very pleased. For real color results, I'm planning to try their Sunless Lotion line, which says you can get dark, rich color and fast results. I mean, this is California, folks. It's March 2, which means it's practically already shorts weather. I can't go around frightening small children with my glow-in-the-dark legs!

As a teenager, I was a pale little thing. I was white and then as soon as I’d get into the sun for a period of time, I’d burn. Not the most attractive look. This look lasted until only a couple of years ago when I guess, global warming gave us so much sun that my skin started to soak it in and I developed a skin tone darker than my usual Elmer’s glue colouring. This moisturizer with a Touch of Sunless is great, as there is not an overpowering unpleasant smell. It is actually quite nice, being light and absorbing into my skin very well. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now, and I am very pleased. No orange streaks! I am not ultra tan or even tan by any means, but my shockingly white glow is less than my normal appearance in February! I feel like I look like I was outside in the sun for an afternoon.
